Valentine is mostly brick homes from the 1970s and 80s on big blocks near the lake. The wiring was never planned for a car charger, a bank of downlights and a full kitchen of appliances.
We ran a new circuit from the board out to the carport, then later upgraded it to a 32 A wall charger with its own safety switch (RCBO). While the power was off we found a failed safety switch on the lighting circuit and replaced that too.

New globes were failing soon after they went in. We replaced the blown ones, checked that the rest of the lights were working and set out the cost of changing the lot to LED so it stops happening.

Two flickering fluorescent battens came out and four LED downlights went in. We also took the double power point off the ceiling and put it on the wall, and swapped the porch light for LED with a ring that covers the old hole.

Fluorescent battens, oyster lights and old wall lights came out of the toilet, laundry, hall, stairs and entry, and downlights went in. The wall controlled bedroom fans were replaced with the owner's DC fans on remotes, and the old control boxes removed.

The new wall oven was already on site. We fitted and commissioned it, upgraded that circuit from a plain breaker to a safety switch, and conditioned the oven the way the maker asks before first use.
