Pool and spa problems we fix

Water and electricity need a careful hand. Here is what we see most.

Weatherproof outdoor power points installed on a brick wall

Pump on an extension lead

We fit a weatherproof power point for the pump, protected by a safety switch (RCD).

Home switchboard fitted with safety switches

Pool power keeps tripping

Water in a fitting, old cable or a failing pump. We test until we find the cause.

Questions for a pool electrician in Newcastle

Do I need an electrician to install a pool pump?

For the power, yes. We install the power point and circuit for the pump, and your pool builder or plumber fits the pump.

Can I run my pool pump off an extension lead?

No, because a lead near water is a shock risk. A weatherproof power point on its own safety switch is the safe fix.

Can you add a pool heat pump circuit?

Yes, once we check your switchboard and supply can carry the extra load. If the supply needs upgrading, we arrange the network connection work.

Do you do spa electrical connections?

Yes. We connect new spas with a safety switch and isolator, and can disconnect and reconnect a spa around tilers and builders.
