Most of what we do is project work for builders. Rough in booked to your dates, a foreman on site, and a price that does not move after you have accepted it.
Not the wiring. These are the things builders tell us cost them time and money.
The sparky holds up the plasterers
Rough in slips by three days and every trade behind it slips with it. We book rough in to your program and ring you the moment anything moves, rather than letting you find out when nobody turns up.
You quote the job on our number and then the number changes. Ours is fixed in writing before we start, and anything extra is quoted before it is done, not invoiced after.
Nobody knows what was agreed on Tuesday. Ben runs our builder jobs and has more than twenty years in the trade, so you ring one person and he already knows the job.
The job is done and the paperwork is not. A Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work comes with every electrical job here, without you asking twice.
More than sixty metres of LED strip lighting through the fit-out, plus power and controls. The kind of job where the lighting is the finish, so the setting out matters as much as the wiring.
Group homes are their own kind of job. Per-participant metering, emergency power that holds for hours rather than minutes, assistive technology cabling and door automation, most of it mandated rather than optional. We price that work on hours, because a point count does not describe it.
The part that decides whether we get on your site at all.
Licences
Electrical contractor licence 463908C. Master Licence 000109142 under the Security Industry Act 1997 (NSW) for camera work. Open Cablers Licence A040687 for data and communications. Both held by us. Where a project needs access control or alarms, we bring in a specialist and carry them in our scope rather than leaving you to coordinate it.
Insurance and membership
Twenty million dollars public liability, with a certificate of currency on request. Member of the National Electrical and Communications Association. A lifetime workmanship warranty that transfers with the property, which matters when you are the one the owner rings in two years.
Working with us: common questions
Can you work to our program?
Yes, and that is the point. We book rough in to your dates and ring you if anything moves. The complaint we hear most about electricians is that they hold up the plasterers, so we treat your program as the thing we are working to.
Who will actually be on site?
Ben, our on-site foreman, leads our builder projects. He has more than twenty years in the trade. Apprentices are always supervised, and you get one person to ring rather than a different number each week.
How do you handle variations?
Quoted in writing before the work is done, never after. The price you accept is the price you pay, and a variation is a new price you accept or decline.
What insurance and licences do you hold?
Electrical contractor licence 463908C, Master Licence 000109142 under the Security Industry Act 1997 (NSW) for camera work, and Open Cablers Licence A040687 for data and comms. Twenty million dollars public liability. NECA member. Certificates of currency on request.
Do you issue compliance paperwork?
A Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work on every electrical job, without being chased for it.
Do you do commercial fit-outs as well as houses?
Yes. Shop, office and hospitality fit-outs are some of the strongest work we do, alongside new homes, granny flats and renovations.
Can you take on NDIS SDA housing?
Yes. Specialist Disability Accommodation is its own kind of job: participant metering, emergency power, assistive technology cabling and door automation on top of the ordinary fit-out. We have delivered it and we price it on hours, not on a point count, because that is what it actually takes.
