Is your business switchboard holding you back?

From our job sheets since June 2024: new sub-boards, submains and three-phase outlets for businesses, sheds and workshops, including in Cooks Hill, Mayfield and Raymond Terrace.

Breakers trip when it's busy

Too much on one circuit. We split the load across new circuits so it stops.

New machine, not enough power

Three-phase outlets and machine connections, run from your board. We arrange any network connection work.

No room on the board

Sub-board installation where you need the power: a shed, a workshop or an upstairs tenancy.

A finished switchboard with every circuit labelled and protected by its own safety switch

Old board, gaps in protection

Fuses and bare circuits replaced with breakers and safety switches (RCDs) on every circuit.

What local businesses say

“Recently have had barrack electrical out on Monday to complete a huge fit-out to our workshop. I expected it to be 3 days before I had lighting in my shed, That afternoon I had lights in all 3 storage sheds, completely lit up the workshop and yard. Not to mention 6 power points also fitted indoors and outdoors. Can not recommend barrack electrical enough very satisfied with the workmanship and the time it took to complete the fit-out. Can't go wrong with Barrack electrical. Cheers from the Allied crane hire Crew.”

Commercial switchboard questions

How do I know if my business needs a switchboard upgrade?

If breakers trip at busy times, the board is full, or it still has fuses, it is time for a look. We check it and give you a fixed price in writing.

Can you add three-phase power to my shop or workshop?

Yes, from the board to your machines and outlets. If the supply itself needs upgrading, we arrange the network connection work through an accredited provider.

What is a sub-board and do I need one?

A smaller switchboard fed from your main board, closer to where the power is used. It suits sheds, workshops and upstairs tenancies.

Will we have to close while you work?

Only for the changeover, and we plan that with you. Early, late and weekend work is available.
